The programme brought together NSS volunteers and students for a focused coastal-cleaning activity. The initiative highlighted the importance of protecting marine ecosystems, reducing plastic pollution and encouraging responsible public behaviour towards beaches and coastal environments. Participants gathered at Fort Kochi Beach and took part in the clean-up drive, working together to collect accumulated waste from the beach. The activity connected the educational mission of NSS with practical environmental responsibility. It provided students with an opportunity to learn through direct participation, teamwork, civic engagement and public service.
