Celebrates International Day of Yoga with "Yogamrit 2026"

 

MGU NSS Units of  KMM College Celebrates International Day of Yoga with "Yogamrit 2026"

Thrikkakara, June 22: The MGU NSS Units 251 & 252 of KMM College of Arts and Science, Thrikkakara, in association with the Yoga Club (KYC-29) and IQAC, successfully organized "Yogamrit 2026" to commemorate the International Day of Yoga. The programme was held on 22 June 2026 at the A Block Seminar Hall.

The event was specially organized for the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, promoting the importance of yoga, meditation, and holistic well-being in everyday life.

The session was led by Yoga Instructor Anjali Rajan, who demonstrated various yoga practices and highlighted their physical and mental health benefits. Meditation Trainer Greetham R. conducted a guided meditation session focusing on stress management and inner peace. Dyslexia Educator Leena Devadas addressed the participants on the role of mindfulness and yoga in improving learning abilities and overall mental wellness.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sabana Backer, Principal. The event was coordinated by NSS Programme Officers Mr. Bijith M. Bhaskar and Ms. Rasmi K. P., along with Yoga Club Coordinator Ms. Vincy Bin Aisha, Staff Recreation Club Convener Ms. Sindhu Shaji, and Faculty Coordinators Ms. Jesna M. Sidheek and Ms. Sreela Mol K. S.

Student coordinators Aksah S., Ameera Aliyar, Ashira Muhammed, Ashique Majeed, and Muhammad Anzal actively supported the smooth conduct of the programme. The programme concluded with an enthusiastic response from the participants, reaffirming the significance of yoga in maintaining a healthy body, a peaceful mind, and a balanced lifestyle
